Dancing Through Fall!

Dear Parents,

We are three weeks into the Fall Dance session! The dancers are so eager to learn. And we have SO much to teach them within a short amount of time. 

Please let us know if you will be absent from class at all during this session. Attendance is very important.

Please be on the look out for photos of the dancers!

A Few Reminders for Parents and Dancers!

A Few Friendly Reminders:

1. Label all shoes and dance attire!
2. Please be on time for pick up/drop off.
3. Bring a separate dance bag.
4. Keep absences to a minimum.
5. Hair should be pulled back & out of face!
6. Pack healthy snacks and water.
7. Bring extra clothing to wear over attire.
8. Email if you will be absent from class.

Welcome Back Information for Fall 2016!

IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR FALL 2016

Uniform: 

(NOTES: there is no uniform for the 3 and 4 year old class and students in the K-1 Ballet/Jazz combo class need both the Ballet and Jazz uniforms)

Please use the below link to purchase the required uniform for your child's dance classes:

http://www.curtaincallforclass.com Once on Curtain Call's website, search for The Bryn Mawr School and use the password bmsdance1 in order to log in.  

Please note that we often use class uniforms as the base of our costumes for performances and, therefore, it is important that you purchase the items shown. During the cold weather months, should your daughter want to wear anything over her leotard for warmth, we are asking that she only wear plain black sweater or long sleeve shirt so as to maintain a uniform look for the entire class. 

* Please note: If you prefer to purchase uniform items from another vendor, please make sure it is the same as what is being sold on Curtain Call. If you are unsure, please ask. 

Labeling: 

In order to avoid missing school uniform pieces and/or dance clothing, please label ALL clothing and shoes (both school uniform and dance attire).  Please have your daughter bring her dance clothes to school in a small, separate bag. 

Class Observation: 

There is no in-class observation allowed during the semester as it can be distracting to the dancers to have family in the dance studio with them.  We look forward to sharing all of the wonderful work your dancers have accomplished during Observation Week (week of December 5th, 2016).

Observation week and Spring performance (for those who plan way ahead!)

The last week of classes in December (week of December 5th) will be our Observation Week. At this time, parents will be invited into the studios for a portion of each dance class. For those dancers who re-register and continue dancing in the Spring session, we will have a performance in Centennial Hall on Sunday, April 30, 2017 with rehearsals on Saturday, April 29, 2017.
