Important News About the 2016 Dance Recital at The Dance School!

Hello Parents,

Please read the IMPORTANT information about our Recital below:

Attendance:
We have just 3 weeks of classes left (including this week) and it is so important that we have every student in all classes. It is quite difficult on everyone even when one student is absent as it often takes a bit of time to catch a student up on missed material. Unlike playing on a sports team, there is not another dancer who can step into your child's position and it can become confusing. We truly want all students to feel confident and comfortable on stage and appreciate your help with this matter.

DVD Order Form:
If you have not already pre-ordered a dvd of the program and would like to do so, please use the link below.  You will simply need to indicate your child's name and how many copies you would like.  Dvd's are $30 each.
Please use the following link:  http://goo.gl/forms/UXGq7XoKLU

Performance Date, Time and Details:
1:45 pm Arrival time for all dancers with hair and make up done.

Notes:
Costumes will be kept at school with the exception of dancer's personal class attire. Please have dancers come dressed in their normal dance class attire. The attached document has a list of all classes and what they are wearing. As you will see, as long as your dancer has her appropriate class uniform attire, there is nothing additional that you will need to provide aside from hair and makeup supplies (see below)

Hair and makeup:
Makeup (does not need to be very heavy):
Blush, lipstick, light eyeshadow, mascara.  If possible, please have your dancer pack her makeup in her dance bag for touch ups).

Hair:
Ballet classes- hair in bun
Jazz classes- ponytail with the exception of Jazz for 5-8 who will be wearing their hair half-up (Ms. Glinowiecki will talk to her class about this).
Tap for grades 1-4: low ponytail as they are wearing a hat
If your daughter is in both Ballet and Jazz, she should have time to change her hair in between.

Show Time Details:
2:40 pmApproximate time that doors will open to audience members

3:00pm Show time
Admission to the performance is free.  Please keep in mind that seating is limited as we have approximately 90 dancers in the performance. All seating is first come, first served- there is no assigned or reserved seating.
